    "Piola" in Argentina

Having found the word "piola" as titolo on page http://www.et.bgu.edu/~berglunm (Home page of Michael Berglund (genio, piola, macanudo)), I wrote to the author in order to know the meaning of that word; here is his answer:
    From: "Michael D. Berglund"
    To: piola@di.unito.it (Roberto Piola)

    Subject: Re: Word "piola"

    Roberto,

I was a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day
Saints in Argentina for two years. It was in Argentina that I found
out that the word, "piola," is lunfardo (Argentine slang). In
American slang it means cool, awsome, totally rad.

In other words, "piola" is used in Argentina as an adjective
to describe something that is pleasing, fun, or looked upon in a very
positive light. So, your name means Roberto who is totally awsome.

        Hope that helps!!!

    ciao,

    Michael Berglund
